For Victims…
…Parents Against Canine Killers

You are what PACK is about, and only you truly understand what PACK is about.

As a victim of a severe dog attack or dog mauling, you and your family have experienced intense physical and emotional pain that may have been prevented. You know the importance of preventing this from happening to others. You may have emotional and financial needs in the aftermath that are not fair.

Often the dog owner tries to deny responsibility or avoids financial responsibility through legal maneuvering. The needs and wants of the family can become secondary to medical and related bills that have to be paid first. And currently the Victims of Violent Crimes Fund doesn’t “cover dog bites”.

By sharing your story, you may help prevent this tragedy from happening to another family. MY STORY is a painful story, but I know I am fortunate that my boys are still alive. My sadness and rage at what my children and I experienced, mixed with a struggle toward forgiveness, is small compared to those of you who have lost your child to a dog mauling. And what can be said to comfort you when it was your own dog or that of a friend that your child had played with so many times and there was never any sign of problem?

Together we must first share our stories, though it is painful, so that others may know. At the same time we must find how PACK can help you. If your child has survived a dog mauling, my hope is that good people will come together through PACK to help give your child back a sense of joy…the sense of happy expectation that life has good surprises.

Most people have heard of “make a wish’ for children with cancer. We would like PACK to be an organization that will provide relief and joy, especially to children and seniors, who have been a victim of a severe dog mauling.

We would like to hear from you, provide you with the resources as we locate them, and find out how we might assist you now and in the future.

If you have been called to join us, we are waiting with open arms.

I’m so sorry this happened to you,
