Worried Child

Welcome to P-A-C-K, parents against canine killers. We are committed, as a nonprofit organization, to protecting children, seniors and grandparents, and other at risk groups from dog attacks and maulings. We do this through education, promoting dog owner responsibility, and promoting political action.

Approximately 1000 people will go to emergency rooms TODAY as a result of dog attacks and dog bites. Most of these victims will be children. Most injuries to these children will be to the head, face and neck. Many will have permanent disfigurement. Dog attack survivors often have lasting pain and scarring. The trauma of a dog attack is both physical and psychological. Because of their predatory instincts, Dogs will soon be considered loaded guns if nothing is done to change these attacks.

If we sound urgent on this topic, we are. At P-A-C-K, we believe there are solutions that can prevent most dog attacks. With most victims being familiar with the dog prior to the attack, understanding why dogs attack is part of that prevention. In the summer of 2008, 3 consecutive fatal dog attacks were infants killed by the family dog. Many other attacks involve encounters with dogs allowed to roam and exhibit pack behavior. Dogs also display predatory instincts that display their emotion.

Just by studying the website, you become a part of P-A-C-K: educated and knowledgeable in the prevention of dog attacks. Know the dynamics behind dog attacks and dog maulings.
